Eyes in the Sky

...Or the Tucson Police Photo Traffic Enforcement Program. Unbeknownst to the Hays', Tucson has traffic cameras ALL OVER the place - at most 4 way intersections. So in the mail a couple of days ago I got a notice of a Traffic violation, complete with pictures and a link to a video. Yep, Amy ran a red light on a left-hand turn after only being in town for 3 days! September 5th, in the early evening, while exhausted, I totally blew through the intersection. Bummer and not like me at all!

Now, I either pay a $290 fine, bump my insurance and get points on my license or give up 6 hours of my life for Defensive Driving School. Guess I am going to school!

We have made a couple of trips to Phoenix to check out Ikea and some other stores that we do not have here. We also checked out a place featured on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The restaurant is called Chino Bandito. It is a STRANGE fusion of Chinese, Mexican and Carribean! You can get Jerk chicken quesadilla if you want. Very good!!

We have a goofy Woodpecker who comes to the house almost every day at some point and sits on top of the chimney cackling. I look forward to him/her visiting every day. We have named him Pepe. Here are some pics of him, and of one of our many lizards in the 'garden' area of the back yard.
